The auction will benefit Washburn Center for Children, a non-profit dedicated to aiding children with social, emotional, and behavioral problems. The state's leading children's mental health center, Washburn is looking to expand its reach by building a new center to offer expanded programs and capacity. The Carlson School of Management MBA Charity Auction is organized by Carlson 4 Community (C4C), a service group led by Carlson School of Management MBA students. C4C’s mission is to promote volunteerism and community involvement both at the Carlson School of Management and within the community in which the school resides. In addition to the charity auction, C4C coordinates many volunteer activities throughout the year. Recent projects include participating in a Habitat for Humanity build day and a Penny Wars fundraiser held in collaboration with Net Impact.
The 2013 MBA Charity Auction was attended by 375 Carlson students, faculty and alumni, and raised over $28,000 for Children's Lighthouse of Minnesota, a non-profit organization dedicated to building and operating a children's hospice home to offer respite and end-of-life care to children who have a shortened life expectancy.
Tickets are now available for purchase! The price will be $50.00 at the door - including dinner and drink tickets. Buy your tickets before February 8th for a discounted price of $40.00.
We welcome donations for the live or silent auction! Donations so far this year include:

- Guthrie and Ordway tickets
- Passes to MN Pro Paintball
Children's Lighthouse of Minnesota is a registered 501 (c)(3) organization; all auction item donations and cash contributions are tax-deductible and will be formally recognized with a letter that can be used during tax preparation. C4C Mission: To promote volunteerism and community involvement.
The Annual MBA Charity Auction is the flagship event of the C4C student club. It is entirely student organized and intended to benefit a local nonprofit organization each year. The gala event includes an evening of food, drinks, networking, and bidding on items in a live and silent auction. All the proceeds from the auctions go to the nonprofit organization.
