Congratulations Graduate!

After four years of hard work, long hours of studying, nose-to-the-grindstone days, your diligence has finally paid off!  In order to ensure seamless road to graduation, we recommend you follow the steps below:


1:Schedule Degree Check

Schedule a degree-check appointment with your academic adviser when you have earned at least 90 credits, or are within one year of graduation.  Call the Undergraudate Program office (612-624-3313) to schedule.


2:Track your Progress

Track your progress by regularly reviewing your APAS Report.  It is available at http://onestop.umn.edu.


3:Follow the Checklist and Apply to Graduate

Follow the University's Graduation Checklist (http://onestop.umn.edu/degree_planning/graduation/index.html) to make sure all of the details are taken care of.

 

You must also apply to graduate by the following deadlines:

  • Spring 2010 - February 2, 2010
  • May Session 2010 - March 24, 2010
  • Summer 2010 - June 7, 2010
  • Fall 2010 - September 21, 2010
  • Spring 2011 - February 1, 2011
  • May Session 2011 - March 23, 2011
  • Summer Session 2011 - June 6, 2011

 


4:Attend Grad Fest

Wednesday, March 24 - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
and Thursday, March 25 - 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

5:Attend Carlson's Commencement Ceremony

Plan to attend the Carlson School's Commencement Ceremony, held May 17, 2010.  Invitations are mailed in late March to all previous summer, fall, spring and May session graduates.
 

Students who are completing their requirements after the May ceremony (i.e. summer or fall) and wish to participate early may contact the Undergraduate Program office to request an invitation.
