Carlson School Recognized For Business Ethics Education
Minneapolis (October 19, 2005)--The Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota received two national rankings for its excellence in business ethics education. BusinessWeek ranked Carlson in the top six among Executive MBA schools for ethics. The Carlson School also is ranked 29th of the top 30 global MBA programs by Beyond Grey Pinstripes, the leading ethics ranking.
The BusinessWeek ethics specialty ranking, to be published Oct. 24 with additional business school rankings, also ranked Kellogg, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, ESADE (in Spain) and IESE (in Spain) in the top six.
Sponsored by the Aspen Institute and the World Resources Institute, the Beyond Grey Pinstripes ranking released today (Oct. 19), recognizes schools and faculty for their social and environmental stewardship. More than 100 schools participated in the ranking.
“The Carlson School has long been a leader in business ethics education and we integrate ethics throughout all of our offerings, from ethics courses to international programs, from conference to student volunteer groups,” said Michael Houston, Carlson School interim dean. “Additionally, several of our faculty are world-renowned for their ethics research. We’re proud to be recognized for this area of excellence.”
