Faculty

ROBERT HANSEN is an associate professor of Marketing and Logistics Management at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Previously he was a member of the Marketing Department at Ohio State University. He is a consultant to both business firms and public agencies, and he has published a number of articles and research monographs on topics related to marketing research, consumer behavior and business planning. His industry experience includes working for Oscar Mayer, NCR Corporation, Business Incentives, and Grant Thornton, International. Hansen’s research specialties are developing marketing strategies for public sector services and measuring user satisfaction with transportation services. He has a PhD in marketing, statistics and quantitative methods, an MBA in marketing and quantitative methods and a BS in agricultural sciences and business from the University of Wisconsin.


Executive Presenters


GREG JANEY is a Marketing Manager at The Toro Company. A Six Sigma Green Belt, he combines his knowledge of Six Sigma with his experience in marketing, engineering and sales to both improve the efficiency of the product development process and increase the success rate of new product introductions. Prior to joining Toro, Janey held a variety of positions at Emerson Process Management Inc. including Design Engineer, Micro-Electrical-Mechanical-Systems (MEMS) Diffusion Engineer, and Global Product Manager. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University and is currently finishing his MBA at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.


MARY RAPAPORT is a global marketing executive with Minco Products Inc. where she directs the global strategic marketing, marketing research, product marketing, and marketing communications functions. She leads a staff of marketing managers to both manage product lifecycle and work with R&D in building business case and product beta test programs for new product development. Rapaport received her BA from Chatham College, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and MBA in Marketing from Baker College of Graduate Studies, Flint, Michigan.


DEAN WOLD is the Region Director for Teradata, a division of the NCR Corporation. He has responsibility for the Teradata Retail Solutions team for the central part of the United States and Canada. Teradata is the global leader in data warehousing, business analytics and active intelligence. Wold has held numerous managerial positions with NCR, primarily in retail focused areas. He holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management and is involved in several industry organizations.
