Teaching with Carlson LMS in 10 Steps

	Carlson LMS Tasks
Step 1:	If you want your TA to have access to Carlson LMS, contact Carlson School IT or your local cluster LMS support.
Step 2:	Login to Carlson LMS
Step 3:	Build new or copy a previous LMS files
Step 4:	Add Sessions
Step 5:	Add Files to Sessions
Step 6:	Post your syllabus (either "LMS built-in" or your own file)
Step 7:	Release your Carlson LMS files to WebVista (remove red )
Step 8:	Email a welcome message .  Use Firefox, but compose your message in Word and paste inside the message box. Remind students to use the MYU Portal http://myu.umn.edu to find your WebVista link.
	WebVista Tasks
Step 9:	Re-grant "denied" students access in WebVista (see Tip #15).
Step 10:	Go to the WebVista side of your LMS course to access the WebVista Grade Book, Assignments, Quizzes, or Discussion Boards. Click "Vista Home" from LMS or go to MYU portal to find your appropriate WebVista section link. Learn more about WebVista tools, click here.
