Purpose
The purpose of involving university scholars in the Joseph M. Juran Center is to spread research and teaching in the quality field throughout the university infrastructure of the United States. The knowledge and research generated by this effort will not be limited to any one discipline or field but will be spread across business, engineering, education, health care and other appropriate fields.

Benefits

By providing the basic knowledge about quality principles and current research, and then supporting research and teaching enhancement through grants, the Joseph M. Juran Center will help build the community of scholars to expand the body of knowledge in the quality field. • An opportunity to engage critical faculty leaders
  • Corporate contacts
  • Faculty exchange opportunities
  • Enrichment of their doctoral course offerings
  • Networking with faculty from peer institutions
  • The opportunity to leverage "seed funding" grants into larger research awards

Expectations
  • Nominate Ph.D. students for the Juran Fellowship and Juran Doctoral Award programs
  • Attend The Summit
  • Share publications and course offerings in the Quality field
  • Collaborate on research as appropriate

Partner Selection Criteria
  • Major research institution and producer of Ph.D.s
