 The GLOBE

Mission

The GLOBE is committed to fostering awareness, knowledge and understanding of international management and multicultural issues among Carlson School of Management students. We sponsor and organize social and business events ranging from panel discussions on international business issues to exhibits representing countries from around the world. Our events are a chance to network, enhance your level of cultural awareness, and learn more about current global issues.

The GLOBE's officers are strong believers that in today's marketplace being a successful manager requires not only outstanding management skills and capabilities, but also the ability to lead a diverse workforce in an increasingly globalized and boundary less environment.

The GLOBE is the Carlson School of Management student association for International Business. We represent students from the Ph.D., MBA, HRIR, MHA, MBT, and Undergraduate programs. The activities of the GLOBE are supported by the Carlson School of Management Office of International Programs (International Programs web page).
Moreover, the GLOBE enjoys active partnerships with:

  • University of Minnesota's MISA (Minnesota International Student Association)
  • MIC (Minnesota International Center - www.micglobe.org)
