The Minnesota Model of Human Resources and Industrial Relations is comprised of five major areas of study:
• Staffing, training, and development
• Organizational behavior and theory
• Compensation and benefits
• Labor market analysis
• Labor relations and collective bargaining
The pillars provide the basic structure of our academic programs. Students take core courses in each area and electives in at least 2 areas. The curriculum is also supported by coursework on topics such as quantitative methods, human resource information systems, risk management, and international human resources.
