Academic Credit
You will receive 16 S/N Carlson School International Business (IBUS 5100) credits for your semester at the Singapore Management University Students enroll in a total of 4 SMU credits (generally 4 full courses) to earn 16 Carlson School credits. Contact your adviser or International Programs for a list of SMU courses that have been evaluated to meet Carlson School requirements. You are encouraged to consider alternative courses if appropriate to help set yourself apart.
Housing
SMU does not arrange for student housing but provides resources to assist in the search for housing. Prior to departure, students are given contact information for peers attending SMU during their term so they can cooperate in arranging housing. Students have reported relative ease in finding housing and the majority of students stay together in a hostel upon arrival while they visit a variety of housing options before making a decision.

• Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0

Application and Admission Process
Submit a completed application with a $50 application fee, transcript, resume, and essay by the February 28th Priority Deadline prior to the academic year in which you wish to participate. Programs that do not fill following the priority deadline will be reviewed on a rolling-admissions basis.

Admission to all programs is based on review of your application by the study abroad selection committee. Applications will be reviewed following the deadline and you will be notified of your status by official letter in April. Once selected, you will be asked to pay a $500 deposit in order to confirm your place in the program.
