Curriculum

WEMBA Class

The WEMBA course, commenced with a 4-day orientation session, consists of 18 months of classes and a 6-month field project. Classes are held three times a month on Saturdays and Sundays.


Semester Description Courses

First Semester

Interdisciplinary Foundation of Business

The goal of the Interdisciplinary Foundation of Business module is to explain the essential features of the market. The module gives an overview of general management, organizational behavior, managerial economics, data analysis and reasoning in business, management information systems, business law and financial accounting.

Second Semester

Knowledge and Skills for Top Performance

This module provides participants with core knowledge of essential analytical tools used in problem solving management. The specific knowledge of advanced theories and tools for managerial accounting, finance, marketing, operations, logistics, decision science, and human resource management will enable participants to pursue a more specialized study of the functional areas in advanced courses.

Third Semester

Managing in Complex Environments

The third semester builds towards a coherent understanding of corporate and business strategy planning, implementation and control. Students combine the concepts and techniques of strategic analysis with the other material learned in the Warsaw Executive MBA Program, in order to analyze complex management problems from the general manager’s perspective. A broader integration of intra-firm and company-environment aspects will be achieved.

Fourth Semester

Area Studies

The last semester of the program is devoted to concentration courses and a field project. Students have at least two concentration courses. The list of options is different each year and is adapted to the needs of the participants. The field project gives deeper insight into real-world business through personal involvement and practical teamwork. Furthermore, it provides participants with an opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired over the course of the program.
