The University of Cologne is among the Top 10 European MBA programs and has long enjoyed a reputation for academic excellence in Germany’s fourth largest city. A variety of business topics, taught in English, await ambitious students looking to leverage their Carlson School degree with a semester at one of the world’s premier business institutions. Considering that Germany accounts for nearly 5% of all US foreign trade, the importance of first-hand knowledge, exposure, and expertise has never been more important.

The University of Cologne, in addition to being ranked among top European business educators, is rooted in a wide and rewarding international network. Along with institutional membership in globally renowned networks and contributing to many innovative models of inter-university cooperation, the university has developed close ties to the international corporate community. Many of the faculty are leaders of industry in their fields of expertise. The International Relations Centre has become a body for both creation and development.

Cologne is located on the ancient trade route along the river Rhine and has thus been an international city for centuries. Indeed, twenty percent of the city’s current populace is non-German born. Cologne is the European headquarters of Ford Motor Company and the German headquarters for numerous international firms like Sony and Sara Lee. Located in the heart of the European Union, Cologne is also a massive transport hub serving major airlines and students have ready access to all of Europe.
