NetFiles Network Storage


All University students have access to 5 GB of network storage that is available via the Internet. Anyone wanting to use this must enable their NetFiles account.

E-mail - Google Apps


Beginning in January, 2010, incoming students who are new to the University will be given a University Gmail account.  Your email address will be the same format as those who do not have a Gmail account (xxxx####@umn.edu).  If you were previously a University student or employee, you may not yet have a Gmail account, but you may be invited to "opt-in" at some point during the semester.  At that time you will be notified of the process for doing so.  More information is available from:
