The University of Minnesota has a comprehensive copyright web site available for help in understanding issues regarding the use of multimedia content in the classroom and online. If you have questions or concerns regarding the use of different types of resources, the tools provided on this page should assist you answering these questions.
Included on the site are a Fair Use Analysis Tool, a Copyright Decision Map, and instructions on how to create links to licensed resources. They also have a list of teaching scenarios and copyright use including the use of multi-media in the classroom. Answering the questions on the Fair Use Analysis tool will give you recommendations on whether or not your intended use falls within copyright law
