Non-degree student or alumniregistration

If you are not currently admitted to the MBT program, follow these steps to register for classes. Graduate School allows a maximum of 12 transfer credits before applying to the program, though the MBT Program recommends a maximum of 6 credits.

1. Check class schedules

You can view a current class schedule of MBT courses on One Stop. Classes are listed under the subject of Master of Business Taxation. For each course, write down the 5-digit class number (call number), grade basis, units (credits), subject, and catalog number (e.g., MBT 5230).

2. Complete the registration request for graduate credit form and get approval by faxing (612-626-7795) or emailing the completed, signed form to the MBT office.  Once it's approved, we'll forward it to One Stop Student Services within one business day.

3. Verify or change your registration

One Stop Student Services will process your registration within three business days. After you receive an email confirmation, please verify your registration.

You can drop classes through the One Stop registration system, but remember that registration changes can have academic, billing, and financial aid consequences. See One Stop for details.

4. Initiate your University internet account

Your account provides access to many University services and is required for official communications. Learn more about your University internet account.

5. Pay tuition & fees

To avoid cancellation of your registration, be sure to pay your tuition and fees in full by the first billing due date of the semester.
