Course Management Tools

The Carlson School supports a variety of course management options.  These include the Carlson School LMS System as well as University-supported WebVista (formerly WebCT) and Moodle.  Course materials from any of these systems are available to students by logging into myU portal.

Carlson School LMS

The Carlson School LMS is available for all Carlson School courses.  Instructors can use LMS in conjunction with WebVista or can use WebVista natively.  LMS guides and tutorials for faculty and students are available here.

Which System Should I Use?

The course management system you select will depend upon a variety of factors.  Many instructors find the LMS interface easy to use.  However, occasionally updates in WebVista cause LMS outages for a time, requiring repair by Carlson School IT.

WebVista and Moodle operate independently.  The following links should help you which of these two systems best meets your needs.
