History

Founded in 1919 as the University of Minnesota School of Business, the Carlson School has a rich history of preparing and educating the world's current and future business leaders and an alumni network of more than 50,000 graduates worldwide.

Research

The Carlson School is highly ranked for the number of articles its faculty publishes in leading academic journals. Major contributions by the Carlson School faculty include the creation of the "4Ps of marketing" and development of the field of Management Information Systems.
