Carlson School of Management

Engagement with Students

There are numerous opportunities for your corporations and employees to engage with our students and assist them with their development and financial needs.

Experiential Learning

Building on the school's commitment to creating dynamic, challenging experiences that have real-world application, the Carlson School offers experiential learning opportunities that take students out of the classroom in order to directly partner with the business community.

Carlson Enterprises

The Carlson Enterprises offer hands-on experiential learning. Students work directly with corporations as clients to manage real projects in branding and marketing, management consulting, new business ventures, and funds investment with oversight by a professional director and faculty.

Provide Scholarships or Fellowships

The need for scholarships and fellowships is great. Through gifts of scholarships (undergraduate students) and fellowships (graduate students), donors make discovery happen for talented students from all economic backgrounds. Scholarships are an investment in providing opportunity, transforming lives, and building the future.

Become a Speaker or Mentor

Professionals from all industries are valuable resources to our students. Consider offering your unique professional insight by becoming a speaker in a class or a mentor to a student.

Host a Corporate Site Visit

Host students at your company to give them a unique perspective of your industry, and for your company to interact with potential future employees.

Engage with Student Organizations

With more than 40 undergraduate and graduate student organizations, your company can be strategic and partner with clubs by providing speakers for club meetings, sponsoring events, and offering company site visits.

Sponsor a Case Competition

Undergraduate and graduate students engage in company sponsored case competitions that provide them real-world experience for students. For undergraduates, there is the Undergraduate Case Competition, MIS Competition, and the Supply Chain & Operations Case Competition. For graduates, there is the Elite 8 Brand Management Case Competition. Depending on the case competition you’d like to sponsor, there are various levels of sponsor benefits for your company.

The Carlson Global Institute also offers opportunities for live case sponsorships at corporate locations abroad for both undergraduate and graduate students.
