Most kinds of financial aid can be applied to study abroad. Follow these steps to be considered for financial aid:
- Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) through OneStop Office of Student Finance. Be sure to complete the FAFSA application before you submit your online application for international programs, so as to be automatically considered for need-based scholarship awarded by Carlson Global Institute.
- Before you apply for an international program, set up a preview meeting with an adviser at the OneStop Office of Student Finance to discuss how your financial aid package could be adjusted to accommodate the cost of studying abroad.
- After being accepted into an international program, the Carlson Global Institute will provide you with a Study Abroad Cost Estimate (SACE) form. You must provide this form to an adviser at the OneStop Office of Student Finance in order to adjust your aid package.
If you plan to participate in a summer program, remember that you must take at least 6 credits in the summer term to qualify for financial aid.
