Undergraduate Education Abroad Programs

photo of students abroadThe pace of globalization continues to present new challenges for doing business across complex and competitive economies. At Carlson, we believe it's essential for students to get first-hand experience with new countries, cultures, and business environments. International experience gives you not only a comprehensive, contemporary business education, but also the edge you need to enter a competitive world after graduation.

That’s why we’ve introduced an international experience requirement for all undergraduates:

  • To instill motivation to become more globally competent
  • To encourage mutual understanding, communication, and collaboration with colleagues and students abroad
  • To support your development as an authentic global business leader

We offer both short- and long-term experiences:

  • Global Enrichment
    • Graduate and Undergraduate opportunities
    • Short-term courses of 2 weeks in length plus pre/post departure coursework
    • Offered in January and May/June
    • Taught in English
    • Earn up to 4 credits
    • Study with Carlson and international faculty
    • Includes topic-based seminars and live business cases

  • Global Immersion
    • Graduate and Undergraduate opportunities
    • Semester and summer length programs at partner business schools
