The Carlson Funds Enterprise (CFE) allows MBA and undergraduate finance students the opportunity to manage over $38 million of real investment money. Although students are guided by two professional directors and two academic advisors, the CFE students take total control of the money management process. Not only does the program allow students to learn about real-word investment management, but participants are able to earn competitive returns as well.
As Vice President, Mr. Dudley focuses on sales, marketing and client relationships with Leuthold's institutional research clients.
In 1998, a group of investment professionals became dedicated to making this program one of the best student-managed funds in the country. Professor Robert Goldstein is a winner of the prestigious 2013 Smith Breeden Prize for his paper, "On the Relative Pricing of Long-Maturity Index Options and Collateralized Debt Obligations."
The prizes are awarded annually to the top three papers in The Journal of Finance as chosen by the publication's editors. Goldstein and co-authors Pierre Collin-Dufresne (Columbia Business School) and Fan Yang (Carlson School PhD student) will receive $5,000 for earning the honor of Distinguished Paper.
