Offered through a partnership between the Carlson School and Lingnan (University) College of Sun Yat-sen University, the China Executive MBA program gives experienced professionals the skills and knowledge they need to manage complex international business challenges. Tailored to the dynamic business environment of the South China region, the program examines senior management practices in the context of a global economy with increasing technological, political, and social changes.
As China continues to become a global economic power, organizations need talented leaders with a solid understanding of Eastern and Western business practices. Along with a rigorous curriculum, the program gives business leaders opportunities to work with a diverse group of peers and top international faculty committed to cutting-edge research.
Students attending this program primarily come from throughout China, but also hail from other countries in Asia. CHEMBA students are University of Minnesota and Carlson School students as well. The Virtual Team Project in particular gives CHEMBA students a chance interact with all four EMBA programs. Students completing the program will be awarded a degree from Carlson, a diploma from the University of Minnesota, and a certificate from Lingnan (University) College.
The CHEMBA program is scheduled to avoid interrupting a participant’s career. The program consists of 18 courses over 16 months, and each CHEMBA course is scheduled over two consecutive weekends. This excludes the international Integrated Residency, which is 10 days in length.
CHEMBA classes are delivered in English by a global faculty team, including talented and experienced faculty from the Carlson School and Lingnan (University) College. CHEMBA is fully accredited by AACSB International.
