The Vienna Executive MBA (VEMBA) prepares senior executives and managers for the complex business challenges of Europe, providing opportunities to explore real-world issues and develop a solid understanding of global business in a collaborative learning environment.
Organized jointly by the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and the Carlson School, this program was ranked No. 41 out of the top 100 Executive MBA programs in the world in the 2009 Financial Times. VEMBA is also fully accredited by AACSB International.
Structured to accommodate working professionals throughout Europe, this intense 14-month program is offered in 4-day modules, once a month. Each module is dedicated to a single course, supported fully by distance learning. In addition to geopolitical, technical, social, economic, and environmental challenges, students examine new business methods and tools, strategies for a changing world, and international management.
Students in this program come from throughout Europe and the surrounding regions. The Virtual Team Project in particular gives VEMBA students a chance to be part of a larger global community and interact with all four Carlson School EMBA programs. The final degree earned by students is a dual degree issued from both the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and the WU Executive Academy.
