Congratulations!  The Notes Migration is COMPLETE (Sent 7/2/07)

To: All Carlson School Faculty, Staff and PhD Students,

The Lotus Notes Migration is complete! Lotus Notes has been turned OFF and everyone should now be using their x500 (@umn.edu) account for email and UMCal. Thank you all for your hard work in getting your files moved and your patience with the process. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Lotus Notes migration please send them to: csemail@umn.edu


As you use Thunderbird and UMCal, please keep in mind:

1. If you have not already, please BE SURE you are listed on the ALIAS list, to ensure that any email sent to your @csom.umn.edu account is RE-DIRECTED to your @umn.edu EMail by the University Central email server: www.carlsonschool.umn.edu/aliaslist . To clarify, if your name is NOT on the alias list, you WILL NOT get email sent to your @CSOM.umn.edu forwarded to your @umn.edu address. 
   

    

2. To REMOVE your @csom.umn.edu Account from Thunderbird, click on that account (@csom.umn.edu) on the left side of your Thunderbird screen. The choose:
   
   * Tools
   * Account Settings
   * Click on "Remove Account" (bottom left)- but first be SURE it is your @csom.umn.edu account NOT @umn.edu that is highlighted.
   

    

3. For Web Access to your UMN Email and Calendar:
   
   * For UMN Email go to: mail.umn.edu (Choose Gophermail or WebMail- whichever format you prefer)
   * For UMCalendar go to: umcal.umn.edu

5. We are creating a web page with information regarding Carlson School listservs (like group email lists in Notes) and we will be sending out that web page link soon.
