Hughes is Managing Director, Consumer Sector, GfK Custom Research North America. A research professional with decades of experience, Hughes is responsible for sector strategy and the development of client partnerships and quality project service for GfK’s consumer packaged goods, retail, restaurant, and travel and leisure clients.
 
A University of Minnesota alumna, Hughes spent 12 years in client services and 8 years as a research planner for a large advertising agency before joining GfK in 1995 as Executive Vice President. In that role, Hughes worked in client-side research, advertising development, account planning and management, selection and development of new products, and design and strategic analysis of company projects.
