Alum is Finalist in White House's Campus Champions Change Challenge

The A-list, a nonprofit youth center in Brooklyn Park, Minn. co-founded by 2011 Carlson School graduates Matt Norris and Asha Sharma, was selected as one of the 15 finalists in the White House's Campus Champions of Change Challenge.

The Challenge, which was launched last fall, honors students on college campuses who are helping their local communities. Sharma nominated Norris who is currently a student at the University of Minnesota Law School.

If The A-list makes it into the top five based on online voting, the organization and its co-founders will be honored at an event at The White House on March 15, be featured by mtvU and MTV Act, and host an episode of mtvU's signature program, "The Dean's List."

"This is a tremendous honor for everyone who played a role in making The A-list what it is today. It has been so rewarding to see what was once a dream turn into the go-to place for teens in Brooklyn Park," says Norris, executive director of The A-list.

Online voting deadline is 11:59 p.m. March 3.
