A team of five undergraduate students from the Carlson School won first place at the Global Investment Research Challenge on Thursday, February 17, at the Thrivent Auditorium in Minneapolis. The challenge, presented by CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Minnesota, is a competition in which students write an equity research report on a publicly traded company and present their findings to an expert panel.
By taking first place, the Carlson School team will compete in the national challenge in Omaha this April. Members of the team include Matt Otto, Aaron Nordvik, Jacob Kleiner, Dan Rice, and Dan Lemmage. The team was advised by lecturer Mike Wright.
