Assistant Professor Colleen Manchester and PhD student Si Ahn Mehng are finalists for the 2013 Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Excellence in Work-Family Research. This award is given to the authors of the best research paper published in 2012.
Manchester and Mehng received the nomination for their Academy of Management Journal article "Flexible Work Practices: A Source of Career Premiums or Penalties?"
The award is a joint project of the Center for Families at Purdue University and the Boston College Center for Work & Family. The purpose of the award is to raise the awareness of excellent work-family research among the scholar, consultant, and practitioner communities. Finalists are selected from more than 2,500 articles published in 77 leading English-language journals from around the world.
