Chris Neugent, president and CEO of Malt-O-Meal Company, will discuss "Changing the Game One Bowl at a Time" at the next "1st Tuesday Speaker Series" on October 4 at 11:30 a.m. in the University of Minnesota's McNamara Alumni Center.
Only the fourth CEO in the company's 92-year history, Neugent joined Malt-O-Meal in 2001 as vice president of sales and marketing. He was promoted to president in 2003 and CEO in 2008.
Prior to joining Malt-O-Meal Company, Neugent held finance, sales, and brand marketing positions with Frito-Lay, including vice president of marketing, Wholesome Snacking. During his tenure there, he led a variety of brands such as Doritos, Baked Lays, Sunchips, Rold Gold Pretzels, and Cracker Jack. He was also named one of the Top 100 Marketers in the United States by Advertising Age Magazine in 2000.
Neugent serves on the Board of Overseers for the Carlson School, and on the Executive Committee for the Advisory Board for Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE). He is past chairman of the board of Special Olympics Minnesota, and serves on the Finance Committee and the Church Council of Wayzata Community Church. He is a graduate of Princeton University and the Wharton School of Business' Advanced Management Program.
