Overview

Intense and rapidly increasing competition from domestic and global companies makes it imperative that companies recognize and deal with novel challenges. A key organizational capability for responding to constant competitive challenge requires that managers across levels and functional areas understand the company’s strategy fully, adapt quickly to strategic changes, and implement functional strategies consistently and coherently in synch with business and corporate strategy. Functional silo mindsets can now have serious consequences for company growth and progress.

This short and focused program is designed to explicitly provide functional managers with a comprehension of business and corporate strategy, and the ability to understand how to tailor and align functional strategies to support, sustain and enhance business and corporate strategy. Participants will learn the language, tools, and concepts of business and corporate strategy, as well as the issues around successful strategy implementation. They will develop an understanding of the role that functional strategies play in relation to overall company strategy and how to make functional strategies more effective in their support of business and corporate strategy.
