Stephen T. Parente is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance in the Carlson School of Management at University of Minnesota where he specializes in health economics, health insurance, medical technology evaluation and health information technology.

About the Institute

As a dynamic addition to Minnesota's thriving health care and medical device economy, the Medical Industry Leadership Institute puts executives, physicians, students, and academic leaders in touch with the latest trends in the medical industry. In addition to building on the strengths of the Carlson School's world-class faculty, the institute draws on the University of Minnesota's scientific, technical, policy, legal, and ethics expertise.

MBA Education

The institute works with the Carlson School and the University of Minnesota to develop a forward-thinking curriculum and prepare MBA students for challenging careers with today's leading medical industry firms.

Research

The institute has built a responsive infrastructure to support faculty and students as they conduct timely, rigorous research in partnership with top medical industry organizations, and with departments, research centers, and institutes within the University of Minnesota and beyond.
