Warsaw, Poland and a second location in Central & Eastern Europe
Pre-departure class sessions prepare students for the overseas academic program by familiarizing them with important background and terminology around the corporate case. The program starts with an orientation, city tour, and welcome dinner. Students spend the first week in Warsaw in class sessions and working in groups to prepare for the case presentations. At the end of the first week, the group will travel to a second location in Central & Eastern Europe. Students will have free time over the weekend for sightseeing. During the second week students will visit corporate operations in the second location. The program concludes back in Warsaw with official presentations to corporate management, a farewell dinner, and final class sessions.
Students will share a room with one or two classmates of their same gender. Because networking and community-building are key parts of the program, students will not have the option of a single room. Guests are not permitted during the program. Students are housed at a centrally located hotel in each city. Breakfast daily, a welcome dinner, and a closing dinner are provided.
Participants pay $3,500 directly to the University of Minnesota. This fee covers international health insurance, housing, all breakfasts, a few other group meals, transportation to all site visits, and roundtrip airfare on a group flight from Minneapolis to Warsaw. Personal travel and expenses are not covered by the course fee. Tuition for 4 credits is included in the tuition plateau.
Students are responsible for purchasing their own course text books. Fees are based on estimates and may change due to international economic factors. Financial Aid can be applied to study abroad programs.
Application materials include the
