Dinner Conversation Series- Pursuing Entrepreneurial Opportunities in a Down Market
Date TBD During Spring Break - Nicollett Island Inn
Arrival/Reception: 5:30 PM (start time flexible)
Dinner: 6:00 PM

First in a series of dinner events where 8-10 current MBA students are able to sit down with top-quality business brokers and other entrepreneurs. This dinner will focus on acquiring assets/businesses or starting businesses during tough economic times. The Medtronic Interdisciplinary Healthcare Case Competition at Carlson, April 16-18
Online registration begins March 23 - April 3
Medtronic, a global leader in medical technology, has developed a case competition specifically for U of M students. This Case Competition will challenge students from MBA, MHA and MPH programs to work together in small teams (3-6 people) to develop solutions to a contemporary issue faced by Medtronic that requires diverse industry expertise. The 1st place team will walk away with $6,000 and the 2nd place team will win $3,000.  With a maximum of 8 teams competing, this is an excellent opportunity to earn some extra book money. NSHMBA Scholarship Applications Now Being Accepted!NSHMBA provides financial assistance to outstanding Hispanics pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent. In 2008, over $1.4 million in financial assistance was awarded to students around the country, aiding them in beginning or completing their degrees. If you are having difficulty accessing the Carlson School breakout rooms or the graduate student lounge, you can now complete an access request form online. We require that this form is filled out completely. Once the form is submitted you can expect to receive access within 36 hours.
